Nolan Gene Bennett Profile PhotoNolan G. Bennett, 83, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center-Amory. He was born July 10, 1943, to the late R.C. and Ruth Hillard Bennett. Nolan lived a life defined by hard work, determination, and devotion to his family. A faithful man of God, Nolan carried his beliefs into the way he lived, worked, and served his community. Nolan dedicated 62 years of his life to his logging company. Even after retirement, he continued to be involved with logging operations from home through his sons. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time fishing, playing Rook with friends and family, and being outdoors. He viewed the land as one of God’s greatest gifts, treating it with deep respect and dedicating his life to working and caring for it. Nolan was not a man who believed in sugarcoating things. He was loved by many, disliked by a few, and respected by all. Throughout his career, he gave countless people a chance when they needed one, offering them not only employment but also guidance, discipline, and opportunities to build a better future for themselves. Above all, Nolan loved his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter brought him immeasurable pride and joy.
