Joseph Stiles, 62, of Madison, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, Novemeber 3, 2026. A talented trumpet player, Jody proudly served for 20 years as a member of the Naval Academy Band, sharing his gift of music. He later continued his dedication to music education as Band Director at DAR High School for seven years, inspiring students and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Music was more than a profession for Jody; it was his greatest passion. Whether performing, teaching, or simply sharing music with others, he brought enthusiasm and talent to everyone around him.
Jody is survived by his children, Natalie Stiles, Jenny Stiles Dusseau, and Jackson Stiles; his grandchildren, Parker Dusseau and Jett Dusseau; and his stepfather, Ed Hargrove.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Susie Hargrove; sister, Nora Stiles; dad, Joseph Stiles
A celebration of life for Jody will be held at the Stovehouse Canteen on Sunday, Novemeber 8, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
