Mae Jean Tubbs, age 79 of Russellville, AL, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Visitation for the family will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 4-6pm on Sunday, November 8, 2026. A private service will be held at a later time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Turner Lee and Ila Mae Nelson; brothers, Albert Lee Nelson, Billy Ray Nelson, and Grant Nelson; and sisters, Nell Jean Aycock, and Bettie Ruth Nelson.
She is survived by her sons, Jackie Roberson, Lee O’Howell, and Anthony Tubbs; daughter, Hope Green; brother, Richard Lee Nelson; sister, Wanda Balentine; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
