Dannie Rogers McCarley, 93, of Muscle Shoals, AL, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026. A private family graveside service will be held at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Dannie’s life was a testament to kindness and unwavering dedication. For over twenty years, she served as a special needs educator, guiding her students with gentle encouragement and celebrating every milestone. Her compassion was not confined to the classroom—it was woven into every conversation, every smile, and every act of care.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Evan Cloyd McCarley; parents, Henry and Ora Belle Rogers, grandson, Thomas Grant Campbell II; 2 brothers; 2 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn McCarley Harrell (Thurston “Sonny”), Suzan McCarley Lewey (Terry “Gene”), granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth “Katie Beth” Lewey.
