Our beloved Cindy Wallace, born May 28, 1967, has left behind the physical body that suffered so profoundly from her 20-year battle with cancer. She passed to new life on October 22,2026 at only 59 years of age. She fought the cancer with the ferocity of a true warrior. But her courage is not what will be remembered most. She will be remembered as a wife, Mom, Granna, daughter, sister, and friend who loved her family well. She was a true and trusted friend, especially to her closest circle who had shared an unbreakable bond since childhood.
Cindy loved to travel and was always ready for a road trip to literally anywhere. She enjoyed seeing new places but held a special spot in her heart for beaches. In her final weeks, she was still planning “one last trip.” It’s reassuring to know that her final trip was to her heavenly home, as a believer in Jesus. We will see her again.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband Terral; her children Ashley Cagle (Daniel), Miranda Wallace and granddaughter Madison, and Gavin Wallace; one brother, Darrell Capps (Michele); stepmother Patsy Capps; stepsisters Sabrina Green (Mike), and Christy Key; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Hagood; father, Jimmy Ray Capps; grandparents Gordon and Jetter Capps, and Harley and Willodean Rivers.
A celebration of life will be held for Cindy on Tuesday, October 27, at 2:00pm, at New Horizons Funeral Home in Sumiton. Visitation will be at 1:00pm.
New Horizon Funeral Home directing.
