Ashley Clark Nelson, 36, passed away unexpectedly on October 14, 2026, in Anniston, AL. Born on December 27, 1989, in Lodi, CA, she grew up in Ohatchee, AL, and resided in Weaver, AL.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Nelson; her children, Brendon, Karly, Emmy, Jaxdon, and Haydon; her mother, Cynthia Dunaway; and her sister, Marena Poitras. She was preceded in death by her father, James Clark.
A memorial service to celebrate Ashley’s life will be held Friday, October 23 at the Magnolia House at Cremation Services of East Alabama, located at 733 White Plains Road, Anniston AL 36207. The service will begin at 3:00 PM.
Ashley was a loving, kind-hearted person who left a lasting impression on everyone she met through her character, beauty, and brightness. Above all else, she cherished her family. Ashley was always eager to help others, and in keeping with her generous spirit, she chose to be an organ donor. Her family will fondly remember the warm embrace she shared with those close to her. She walked with integrity and faith every day, loved her family and friends fiercely and wholeheartedly, and encouraged others to pray. Ashley will forever be our angel.
