Elizabeth Ann Cain, 89, of Albertville, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1937, to the late Nathan and Velma Rutledge.
Elizabeth was a loving, gentle, and caring woman who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She dedicated over 30 years of her life working at H.D. Lee in Boaz. Following the plant’s closure, Elizabeth devoted her time to caring for children, including her beloved granddaughter. Her kind heart, nurturing spirit, and genuine love for others were evident in everything she did. She found great joy in caring for those around her and will always be remembered for the love and compassion she so freely shared.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ramona Cain; granddaughter, Shamira Cain; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Cain; her parents, Nathan and Velma Rutledge; and her siblings, John Rutledge, Laura Jean Rutledge, Glendon Garrett, Doris Ogle, Lelia Kate Miller, Burl Miller, George Rutledge, and Sumpter Rutledge.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
