Funeral service for Johnathon Ray Sparks, age 43, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Delashaw officiating. Mr. Sparks, who died Friday, October 16, 2026, at his residence, was born July 1, 1983, in Alabama, to Johnny Ray Sparks and Angela Beth Alred McCarley. He was preceded in death by his son, Skyler Watson; grandparents, Marjorie Hill, Ellis Alred, and Guy and Shirley Sparks; and his uncle, Michael Alred. Johnathon was an avid wrestler, Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, and warrior for social justice. He thoroughly enjoyed music and art.
He is survived by his father, Johnny Sparks (Anita); mother, Beth McCarley (Lloyd); brothers, Ellis McCarley (Kaylee) and Dacota Sparks; and sister, Angela Robison (Michael).
Pallbearers will be Hollis Chandler, Adam Armor, Alton Wallace, Ray Thomas, Jessie Strickland, and Nick Terry.
