Rosemary Harris Brown, 83, passed on Friday, October 9, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1943 to the late Herbert Carlisle Harris, Jr. and Elizabeth “Betsy” Jacoway Harris. She graduated from Auburn University.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Herbert Carlisle Harris, III and granddaughter, Sally Wade Crommelin.
She is survived by daughters, Jane Huston Crommelin (Claiborne) and Kathryn Brown Lee (Allan); grandchildren, Gunter Moren Crommelin Crane (Mabry), Henry Claiborne Crommelin, Jr., William Huston Crommelin, Allan Spencer Lee, Jr. (Georgia), and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Lee Cleaver (Craig); and five great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Marriott Shoals Terrace from 12 noon to 2pm. A private interment will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amen Food Pantry (104-B West Linden St. Corinth, MS 38834) or the O’Neal Library Garden Fund (50 Oak St. Birmingham, AL 35213).
