Eloise Woods Creel, 85 of Blountsville passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at her residence. She was born June 4, 1941 in Blount County the daughter of Tildon Woods and Louise Clifton Woods. She held many roles throughout her life, but her most cherished were those of wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Christian and a member of Warrior Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Steve Creel, Dave Creel and Londa Garrett (Chad); grandchildren, Blake Helton (Sarah), Colton Helton (Shaina), Jadyn Garrett, Jo Cole (Craig), Jordan Creel, Dakota Creel and Peyton Creel; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Betty Sue Scifert; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Donnie Creel; daughter, Vickey Harris; infant son, Dennis Wayne Creel; grandson, Brandon Harris; granddaughter, Jamie Louise Morton; daughter-in-law, Fran Creel; sister, Faye Murphree and a brother, Jimmy Woods.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2026, at New Home Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel. She will also lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers: Blake Helton, Colton Helton, Jordan Creel, Dakota Creel, Chase Cole, Clay Cole and Jonathon Creel.
