Donnie was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting, fishing, and running dogs. His love of the outdoors was an important part of who he was, and he treasured the time he spent pursuing the activities he enjoyed.

Throughout his life, Donnie built a long and dedicated work history. He spent many years as a truck driver and later delivered cars for a local dealership. He also served as a patrolman on the Tanglefoot Trail before taking his final position at Security Plus at Ashley Furniture. Through his years of work, he became a familiar and respected presence in his community.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Mary Magdalene Walker; his wife, Florine Walker; his sisters, Mary Nell Walker and Jeanette Walker; and his niece, Angela Jenkins Russell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Ray Walker (Tammy) and Randy Walker (Tabatha), both of Pontotoc; his granddaughters, Brandy Stewart (Whit) and Haylee Strickland, both of Petal; his great-grandchildren, Sophia and Lucas Stewart of Petal; and his sister, Deloris Walker Jenkins of Tupelo. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who will remember him with love.

Donnie will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his years of hard work, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Pontotoc on Wednesday, October 14, from noon until the service begins at 2 p.m. Brother Jody Rock will officiate.
