Later in life, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to provide free meals to those in need on Thanksgiving Day with his family and supported Magic Moments, an Alabama organization dedicated to granting wishes to children facing serious medical challenges. Above all, Allen cherished spending time with his loved ones. Whether hiking through the mountains, reading books, listening to podcasts, or discovering up-and-coming movies and bands, everything he did was in service to his love for family. He took pride in supporting his children, celebrating their accomplishments, and always finding the right time to crack one of his signature dad jokes. Regardless of whether he was traveling, exploring the outdoors, sharing a meal, or enjoying an ordinary day at home, he treasured every second spent with his family to the utmost.
Allen’s life was one defined by professional excellence, generosity, passion, and an appreciation for all that life had to offer.
