Donald Shane Buchanan (Bubba) 43, of Lincoln, AL, passed away on 10/1/2026.Born on September 29, 1983 in Anniston, AL, was the son of Carrie M. Bonner, and Donald D. Buchanan.
Shane graduated from Oxford High School in 2003 and later went on to Gadsden State Community College where he graduated in 2010.He went on to work as a welder for the last 16 years. Shane had a deep passion for Alabama Football, fishing, shooting guns, peanut butter and welding. He will always be remembered for the best laugh, his generosity, and the love he had for his nieces and nephews, in which he called his babies too, and loved seeing great nieces, Isabella and Madeline. He was the best Bubba.If he picked and aggravated at you you knew he loved you.
Shane is survived by:Parents: Carrie M. Bonner, and Donald D Buchanan (Kim)Siblings: Carrie B Williams (Ashley), Heather C. Buchanan, and Justin D. BuchananNieces and Nephews: Jorji Cowger (JD), Xander Jones, Gemma Jones, Cullan Jones, Wyatt Jones, and Arya JonesUncles: Tony L Bonner, and Larry D Owen.
Shane was preceded in death byGrandparents:Williams S Bonner, and Bertha M Bonner George D Buchanan, and Sewillow BuchananInfant twin sisters.
A private memorial service for immediate family and close friends will be held for Shane at the home of his sister (Carrie) on Monday, October 12,2026 @ 2pm. Bubba was cremated and his remains will be left with family.
