Brandon Scott McGaughy, age 48 of the Macedonia Community, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 at Walker Baptist Hospital. He was born September 2, 1978 to Gary and Jackie McGaughy. Brandon was a kind and generous soul, often going out of his way to help those he found in need. He was full of life and a joy to the many friends he kept. Brandon was a hard worker, and always put family first. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 12, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs, Alabama. Levi Sides will officiate. Brandon is survived by his mother, Jackie McGaughy; brother, Jared McGaughy (Megan); daughter, Kynlie McGaughy; and nieces and nephews, Alyssa McGaughy and Parker McGaughy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary McGaughy; grandparents, Dean and Emoise McGaughy, Margaret and Webb Duncan; and uncle, Jerry McGaughy.
