Dorothy Annette Michael, age 87, of Tuscumbia, passed away on October 8, 2026. A graveside service will be on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia with George Michael speaking at the service.
She was the true definition of a caring and loving mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Michael; sons, Melvin Bryon Michael, Jeffrey Boyd Michael; father, Charles Ervin Borden; mother, Gennie Mae Borden; brothers, Randle Borden, Kelsey Borden, Truman Borden; and sister, Janet Smallwood.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Anthony Michael, Timothy Warren Michael (Reba); sisters, Sharron Sparks, Frieda Joiner, Jean Thomason; grandchildren, Kayla Davis (Terry); great-grandchildren, Payton Davis, Lydia Parker (Michael); and great-great-grandchild, Wrenly Charuhas.
The pallbearers will be Payton Davis, Michael Charuhas, Terry Parker, Tyron Killen, Phillip Letslinger, and Bryant Letslinger.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Aveanna Hospice employees for the help beyond their roles at hospice.
