Kathryn Gaye Smith, age 83, of Cornersville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at home with her family at her side.

Kathryn was born March 22, 1943, in Provo, Utah, to the late Richard and Edna Hall Ledward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Smith and three sisters, Joan Terrell, Marcella Boettcher, and Darlene Dodson.

She spent her working years as a dedicated Machine Operator at CKNA Manufacturing, where her steady work ethic and reliability were deeply valued. A faithful member of Lynnville Baptist Church, she carried her love of creativity into her own cake‑decorating business, delighting friends, family, and customers with her beautiful designs. She enjoyed traveling and finding new places to explore, but her greatest joy was always time spent with her family. Her kindness, her talent, and the love she poured into every part of her life will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Lynnville Baptist Church.
