E.W. “Ebo” James, age 87, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on September 7, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
He is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Louise James. One sister Greta Richardson. Three brothers, Bobby James, Jimmy James, and Charles James.
E.W. is survived by his daughter Joy Redden (Dan). Grandchildren Courtney Abston (Les) and Walter Stewert (Michael). Great-grandchildren Cole Abston and Cade Abston. His siblings: Melba Waldrep (Dexter), Debby Keenum (Danny), Toby James, Gary James, and Larry James (Kathy).
He is a member of IBEW 558, served in the Army National Guard proudly. He enjoyed writing songs and making wine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Preferred Hospice.
