TUSCUMBIA-The Alabama Law Enfocement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has taken the life of a Tuscumbia man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday, September 5, has claimed the life of a Tuscumbia man.
Douglas A. Wilkins, 31, was fatally injured when the 2005 Harley-Davidson Roadster motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and went down an embankment. Wilkins was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Frankfort Road near Underwood Mountain Road, approximately one mile south of Tuscumbia, in Colbert County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
