Rita Wesson passed away on August 26, 2026, at DeKalb Regional Medical Center. Rita enjoyed crocheting and spending time watching television, but above all, she loved her family and treasured the time spent with those closest to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Lester “Wayne” Wesson; her parents, Orion and Juanita Wesson; and her granddaughter, Bianca Wesson.
Rita is survived by her son, Eric Wesson; granddaughter, Tosha Wesson; great-grandchildren, River and Ridge; sisters, Patricia, Diane, and Sarah; brother, Donnie; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Belchers Gap Church Cemetery.
