Bruce Everette Hale, age 53, went home to be with the Lord on August 27, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. Bruce was born on October 5, 1972. His family and friends would describe him as a cut-up who was always joking around and pulling harmless pranks. He enjoyed building model cars and, most of all, spending time with his children.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Hale, and his niece, Kelsey Whittenburg.
He is survived by his loving family: daughters, Ashlyn Hale and Layla Hale; mother, Audrey Hale; brothers, David Hale, Brian (Emily) Hale, and Johnny (Emily Roulette) Hale; sisters, Anna Morgan and Crystal Caldwell; the mother of his children and close friend, Diane Hale; and special niece, Makayla Van Winkle. Several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at New Martin Church of God, with Bro. Bobby Nabb officiating. Burial will follow at Myers Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. All visitation and services will take place at New Martin Church of God.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
