Melba Sue Spann Clark Henderson, 82 of Lacey’s Spring passed away Wednesday August 26, 2026, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville after being cared for at Marshall Manor. She was born May 19, 1944, in Arab the daughter of John Spann and Gertrude Kinney Spann. She retired from Civil Service and went on to work in banking for several years.
Melba is survived by her daughters: Darlene (Michael) Williams and Lorrie (Michael) Powell; four grandchildren: Brandon (Kasey) Williams, Brianne (Chris) Wolverton, Daniel (Ariel) Powell, and Kelly (Tyler) Heflin; seven great grandchildren and one brother: J.A. (Judy) Spann. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Gertrude Spann; son: Larry Paul Clark; father of her children: Larry Clark; husband: Bill Henderson; brothers and sisters: Johnnie Ruth (Calvin) Light, Douglas (Maxine) Spann, Billy Ray (Olivia) Spann, Arvella Derrick, Faye Casey, Lavon (Betty) Spann and Kenny Spann.
A private family service will be held under the direction of Gober Funeral Chapel.
