Funeral service for Donald Leon Waddell, 75, will be Monday, August 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Stanley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Waddell passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born November 26, 1950, in Morgan County to Albert Leon Waddell and Esther Louise Griffith Waddell.
He was retired from employment, loved his family dearly, and loved his dogs. He enjoyed playing pool and watching Alabama Football.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a son- Jerone Waddell, and a brother – David Waddell.
Survivors include
Sons – Matthew Mahr,
Michael Lyons,
Donnie Waddell, and
Cory Waddell,
Sister – Kathy Phillips,
Nine Grandchildren and
Six Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Zach Lyons, Xander Waddell, Zyler Waddell, Joseph Mahr, Clayton Brown, and Codey Lewis.
