Josey Noles, 75, of Fort Payne, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born August 6, 1951 to the late Willie B and Myrtle Fay Langston. Josey had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and plants. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren who she answered to as Mama Josey or MamMaw Josey or Nanny.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Bailey (Jay Young), Tonya Shanklin (Tom), and Shea Noles; daughter-in-law Tonia Noles; grandchildren Matt Noles (Bitty Davis), Kenzie Bailey, Ashley Vice (Trey), Jordan Noles (Jonathan Bolden), Arden Nelson (Jordan), Jesse Bailey, August Shanklin (Sarah), Emelia Shores; and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Ella Voils, Christine Scott (Mack), and Renea Langston; and brother Loy Langston (Beck).
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Noles, son Brent Noles, and her parents.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
