Julia Rose Burleson, age 95, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026. She was a member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville.
Rose’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family and friends. She devoted her life to those she loved and took great pride in the accomplishments and milestones of her children and grandchildren. Their happiness was her happiness, and she treasured every opportunity to celebrate life’s special moments with her family.
Her visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at Pinkard Funeral Home, with Jeff Mobley speaking at the service. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Rose is lovingly remembered by her children, Selena Alls and Bob and Mary Burleson; her grandchildren, Mary and Lewis McDonald, Robert Andrew Burleson, Tucker Houston Burleson, and Kelsey and Conner Burke; and her great-grandchildren, Callie Rose Beck, Lewis McDonald, Catherine McDonald, Robert McDonald, Addie Burleson, Benton Burleson, Collier Burleson, Dakota Burleson, Carson Burleson, Cade Kelley, and Decker Burke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wright Howell and Rosa Bell Yarbrough Howell; her husband, Robert Marvin Burleson; her granddaughter, April Alls Beck; and her brothers, Junior Howell, Pete Howell, Tucker Howell, Ewing Howell, Bryan Howell, and David Howell.
