Funeral service for Bobby Wayne Melson, age 79, of Moulton, will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Aldridge Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Melson, who died Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Madison Manor, was born September 14, 1946, in Alabama to Abern Melson and Kathleen Keenum Melson. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Melson; parents; three brothers, Billy Melson, Harold Melson, and Berry Melson; and three sisters, Barbara Keenum, Lygitta Osborne, and Linda Sue Melson.
He is survived by his four daughters, Tammie Wallace (Blue), Michelle Smith (Shane), Sissy Melson, and Rita Armstrong (Matt); sister, Brenda Randolph; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Smith, Cody Smith, Chuck Keenum, Scotty Keenum, Steven Melson, Bradley Melson, and Jonathan Wallace.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Madison Manor and Compassus Hospice for their care during this time. They would also like to thank Stacy Gatlin, his niece, who took care of him the past four months.
