Deborah Kay Johnson Deborah Kay Johnson, 59, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

She was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1966, to the late Rabon Wales and Anita Watkins Wales.

Deborah lived in the Elkmont community her entire life and was a proud member of Seven-Mile Post Road Church. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family, taking care of her garden, cleaning, as well as singing. Deborah was very outgoing and never met a stranger.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rabon Wales, one sister, Tammy Murphy, as well as one nephew, Cody Murphy.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tracy Johnson, one son, Christopher Johnson, one daughter, Ashley (Lee) Rodgers, one brother, Greg (Tracy) Wales, one sister, Susan (Larry) Penn, four grandchildren: Dylan Rodgers, Drew Rodgers, Andrea Johnson, Jensen Johnson, as well as one expected grandchild, Drake Rodgers.

There will be a visitation held for Mrs. Johnson at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama, on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A chapel service is scheduled immediately after visitation with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Toney Wales and Pastor Tim Anderson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
