Jeffery “Jeff” Allen Smith of Ardmore, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 67.
Jeff was born on Sunday, February 8, 1959. He spent his life in and around the Ardmore community, where he was known by family and friends who will remember him with love and affection.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleatus and Colleen Smith.
Jeff is survived by his son, Brandon Smith; his brother, Kent (Janiece) Smith; nieces, several great-nephews and great-nieces, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Jeff’s life will be remembered through the love he shared with his family and the memories they will carry forward. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Jacob Roe, Daniel Mignogna, Hunter Roe, and Kent Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers for Jeff will be Hollis Roe and Oliver Mignogna.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Smith at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama, on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A graveside service is scheduled after visitation to be held at Gatlin Cemetery with service time beginning at 3:30 PM. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
