Justin Robert WilliamsJustin Robert Williams, age 36, of Jasper, Alabama, passed away on July 3, 2026.

The family will receive friends on Friday July 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  Burial will be at Smith Cemetery.  Barbara Cleveland will officiate.

Justin was a devoted father whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his two sons, Robert “Robbie” Williams and Ethan “EJ” Williams.  He treasured every moment with them and loved sharing his interests, making memories, and simply being their dad.

Justin proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne Division and served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.  He carried great pride in his military service and the sacrifices he made alongside his fellow soldiers.

Outside of his service, Justin enjoyed collecting Pokemon and expressing his creativity through drawing and painting.  Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, his sense of humor, his artistic spirit, and the love he had for his family.

After returning home from war, Justin faced the invisible wounds of combat.  He suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and life often brought challenges that were difficult for him to bear.  Despite these struggles, he continued to love his family deeply, especially his children, who remained the light of his life.  His journey reminds us that the scars of military service are real and deserve compassion, understanding, and support.

Justin is survived by his beloved Sons-Robert “Robbie” Williams and Ethan “EJ” Williams; his Mother-Belinda Waddell and Stepfather-Galen Waddell; his Sisters-Erika Rivera (Mino) and Jamie Wortman (Brooks); his Stepsister-Erica Beck; his Stepbrother-Caleb Waddell; along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Justin was preceded in death by his Father-James Williams; and Grandparents-Elmer and Kay Reece, and Cleo (Sonny) and Cora Lee Williams.

Justin’s life was marked by both courage and hardship, love and sacrifice.  Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the service he rendered to his country will never be forgotten.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”  Psalm 34:18

May Justin now rest in the eternal peace of our Lord, free from pain and surrounded by perfect love.  Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
