James Emmett “Junior” McMillen, 77, departed this life for his life in eternity from his residence on Monday, June 29, 2026 after a 3 month period of declining health. He was the husband of Jamie Paulette Underwood McMillen to whom he was married for 60 years and the Dad to James Edward McMillen (Janice) and Melisa Paulette Sanchez (Christopher). The McMillen’s had 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was born in Dorsey on July 14, l948 to the late James Emmitt McMillen, Sr. and Elsie Fay Nanney McMillen. Junior retired as Warehouse Manager of G.T.E. Sylvania Electronic in Chicago, where they lived for 25 years.
A service celebrating Junior’s life will take place at 2 PM Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. A full obituary will follow.
