Notice for Herbert Wayne Parham

Herbert Wayne Parham, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born February 23, 1933, in Hatley, to Raymond and Ruby Ausborn Parham. He retired from Itawamba Community College after teaching was a Chemistry for 35 years. He was a former member at Fulton United Methodist Church, where he was instrumental in establishing the food pantry. After moving to Saltillo, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tupelo. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Itawamba Bass Anglers Club, along with several of his fellow IJC staff buddies. He also enjoyed wood working, playing bridge, and watching Mississippi State sports and the Detroit Tigers.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Hatley.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, June Parham; two daughters, Stephanie Parham Philip (Rob) of Saltillo, and Jennifer Parham Hedges (Toby) of Tupelo; three grandchildren; Katie Philip Barnette (Tyler) of Saltillo, Michael Parham Hedges (fiancé Aly Carpenter), and John Thomas Hedges, both of Tupelo; one brother, Jimmy Dale Parham (Mary Ann) of Hatley.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William Dewey Parham; one sister, Edith Parham Moore; and his parents.

Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
