James Bell Beane II, known far and wide as Jim II, met his Creator from his Tupelo home on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Jim II had a time of declining health since a stroke 4 years ago. He was 47 years old. Born in Tupelo on October 27, 1978 to Jim and Barbara Spradling Beane, he was the eldest of 3 siblings. Jim II had many friends. He was a longtime member of Troop 12 at First United Methodist Church and earned his Eagle Scout Award for which he was very proud. He loved the outdoors especially fishing in area lakes and streams. He was particularly fond of fishing Pickwick Lake and taking his boat out on the Tennessee River. A sports enthusiast, he loved watching all sports on TV but was a staunch Miss. State Bulldog fan. In his day, he was an ace soccer player at Tupelo High School. His working career included employment at Bar-BQ by Jim, a longtime Tupelo eatery owned by the Beane family. Jim II was a gentle soul, very reflective and the kindest man you ever wanted to meet. His huge heart would hug you tight and he was genuinely interested in the well being of his family and friends. He and his dad enjoyed gospel music while riding in the truck and all animals esp. his fishing buddy and beloved dog, Ace. Jim II attended, with his family, the Orchard Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Pastor Bryan Collier officiating. Visitation will be from 1 PM-service time on Wed. only at the Funeral Home. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.

Jim II is survived by his parents, Jim and Barbara Beane of Tupelo; his sons, Gaibe Beane (Kinley) and Foster Beane MS. and their mother, Shea Beane all of Biloxi; his siblings, Amber Beane, Betsy Beane and Jordan Beane (Amber) all of Tupelo; his grandchild, Ellie; 1 niece, Allie Beane and 1 nephew, Stihl Beane; several aunts, uncles and cousins and their families; his beloved dog, Ace and a host of friends everywhere.

The family asks that memorials be made to the NMMC Hospice, 830 South Gloster St., Tupelo, MS. 38801 or to Boy Scout Troop 12 at First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 854, Tupelo, MS. 38802. Condolences may be posted on Jim II’s obituary page at hollandfuneraldirectors.com
