  Obituary of Morris Edward NaborsMorris Edward Nabors, 68, of Cordova, passed away on June 21, 2026, at his residence.

Family will be receiving friends at Pisgah Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. Service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Pisgah Baptist Church with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Ken Mostella will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Laverne Nabors and his sisters Polly Miller and Libby Hester.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Sandra Nabors; daughter, Mandy Barnett (Chris); grandchildren, Callie Sargent and Zoey Barnett; and his dear friend, Ricky Drummond.

Morris was a 1976 graduate of Cordova High School. He dedicated 43 years of service to Alabama Power before retiring in 2020.

Morris was a faithful member and Deacon of Pisgah Baptist Church. He deeply loved his church family, participated in numerous mission trips and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Above all, Morris was a devoted family man. He married the love of his life, Sandra, on September 9, 1977 and together they built a life centered on faith, love and family. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Mandy, and considered his son-in-law, Chris, as one of his own.

One of Morris’s greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his two granddaughters. He treasured every moment spent with them and took great pride in watching them grow.

Morris will be remembered for his unwavering faith, kind heart, generous spirit and deep love for his family and friends. His legacy of service, compassion and devotion will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Drummond, Chad Allred, Eric Allred, Danny Allred, Ricky Drummond and Brandon Drummond.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
