  Obituary of Elizabeth Ann PikeElizabeth Ann Watford Pike, age 90, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 14, 1935, in Gadsden, Alabama, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Ervin Lee Watford and Annie Laura Jones Watford. On June 25, 1954, she married the love of her life, James Harold Pike, in Gadsden, Alabama, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion.

Elizabeth earned her Associate Degree in Drafting and Design Technology from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Jackson County Campus in Gautier, Mississippi. Throughout her career, she worked for Ferson Optics, Alpha Optics, and Ingalls Shipbuilding, where she was respected for her dedication and strong work ethic.

A woman of unwavering faith, Elizabeth loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and faithfully served Him throughout her life. She attended Friendship Baptist Church in Odenville, Alabama, and later Heritage Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was reflected in the kindness, grace, and love she shared with others.

Elizabeth found great joy in spending time with her family. She treasured family gatherings, enjoyed dining out with loved ones and friends, and especially loved playing the piano. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose legacy of faith and love will continue for generations.

She was active in the American Business Women’s Association (A.B.W.A.) and the ACT III Seniors Group at Heritage Baptist Church, where she formed many meaningful friendships and faithfully served her community.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Pike; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bernie Hall; son, Gary Pike; daughter, Nancy Pike; seven grandchildren; and many beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Harold Pike; her son, James Randall Pike; her granddaughter, Kathryn Ann Adams; and her brothers, Jack Watford, Charles Watford, Ervin Watford, and Robert Watford.

Elizabeth was the last of her generation, a distinction she carried with dignity and grace. While her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in knowing she is now reunited with her Lord and Savior and with those loved ones who have gone before her.

A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama.

Elizabeth’s family will forever cherish her steadfast faith, gentle spirit, and the love she so freely gave to everyone blessed to know her.
