Patricia T. “Pat” Bryan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Bank of Fayette County family, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. Born on August 10, 1948, in Maury City, Tennessee, Pat’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and spirited kindness that touched everyone she encountered.
Pat’s career was marked by unwavering commitment and trailblazing leadership. Beginning her journey at Bank of Fayette County in 1979, she diligently worked her way up to become both branch manager and vice president before retiring about a decade ago. Her professional path was a source of immense pride, reflecting the integrity and excellence with which she approached all her endeavors.
A Baptist by faith, Pat’s spirituality was a guiding light throughout her life, nurturing her generous heart and her deep connection to family and community. Known for her warmth and vibrant spirit, she loved the simple joys that made every day precious. Pat enjoyed crocheting, an expression of her creative and patient nature, and had a profound love for the water, motorcycles, and horses—passions that symbolized her adventurous and free-spirited soul. Above all, Pat cherished spoiling her grandchildren, a role that brought her immeasurable happiness and fulfillment.
Her life’s journey took her from Memphis to Moscow in 1979, where she continued to build a loving home and community. Her affectionate presence will be deeply missed by many whose lives she enriched.
Pat is survived by her devoted husband, Charlie Bryan of Moscow, Tennessee; her loving children, Christy McGinnis and husband Mike, of Arlington, Regina Schifani and husband David, of Memphis, and Jerrol Tate and wife Kimberly, of Eads; and her caring sister, Connie Shelley of Florida, as well as her brother, Michael Burch of Holly Springs. She also leaves behind a cherished legacy in her grandchildren: Nicholas and Adam Schifani, Laura Stafford, Paul Schifani, Davis Tate, Peyton and Presley Tate, Kyle and Caitlyn McGinnis, Tate Hill, and Greyson McGinnis. Her great-grandchildren, James and Nolan Schifani, Sophia and Isla Stafford, and Easton and Riley McGinnis, carry forward her loving spirit. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. Lewis and Loyce Powell Lewis, her first husband, Wayne Tate, and her sister, Joan Otter.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Pat’s life with a visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on June 3, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar, Tennessee. The funeral service will immediately follow at the same location. Interment will take place at Friendship Cemetery in Moscow, Tennessee.
Patricia Bryan’s life was a tapestry of love, leadership, and joy. She leaves behind a legacy that will forever inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her.
