Ms. Ella Jean Newell DuBose, age 86, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital.
She was retired from the State of Alabama. Was in the Jaycees and a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Ms. Dubose is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ashley; grandson, Jacob Box; nieces, Jamie Pritchett, Amy Shankles, Lou Yates, Bridgett Corbel, Brandie Harrison; and sister in-law, Dimple Newell.
She was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Audrey Newell; and brother, Harold Newell.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. in the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Helms. Burial will be in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
