ATHENS-City of Athens offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day.
Sanitation will run as scheduled. Please have bins to the curb by 6 a.m.
The City Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 26, with work session at 4 p.m. and meeting at 4:30 p.m.
The Alabama Veterans Museum’s Memorial Day program will be Monday, May 25, at 11 a.m. The museum is located at 114 W. Pryor St. in Athens. The featured speaker will be Major General Douglas Lowery, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) headquartered at Redstone Arsenal.
