Georgia Man Dies From Injuries Received In Single-Vehicle Accident

GUNTERSVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a boom bucket truck has taken the life of a Geprgia man:

“A single-vehicle crash involving a construction worker that occurred at approximately 6:32 p.m.  Monday, May 18, has claimed the life of an Albany, Georgia man.

The construction worker, Albert Perezibarra, 22, a boom bucket occupant, was critically injured when he was pulled from an elevated work bucket of a parked 2017 Ford F-550 bucket truck.

 

Perezibarra was holding the cable wire when the wire was struck in the roadway by the 2024 Ram 3500 pickup driven by Kevin E. Whaley, 44, of Flintville, Tennessee Perezibarra was airlifted to Marshall Medical North Hospital for treatment where he later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.

 

The crash occurred on Feemster Gap Road near Warrenton Road, approximately five miles south of Guntersville, in Marshall County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
