Ora Margaret Brown, age 80, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on May 9, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1945, in Athens, Alabama, to James Hargrove and Mamie Elizabeth Collins Hargrove.
Ora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her children, William Ray Miller (Marian), Kimberly Miller Blackwood (John), Spencer Lee Miller (Teresa), and Roxanne Starr Brown (Julian Edney); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Hargrove and Joyce Lewis; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Royce Ray Brown; her sister, Mary Putman; and her brothers, Lee Hargrove and Paul Hargrove.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Funeral services for Ora Margaret Brown will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Brett Edgar Haggermaker, Jesse Harbin, Drew Ogden, Dylan Ray Johnson, Brandon Harrell, and Will Greuling. Honorary Pallbearer will be Braxton Brown.
