Wanda McQueen went to be with her Lord Jesus September 17, 2019 at Summerford Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born on April 30, 1944 in Murdock, Illinois to Marshall and Geneva Coslet. She married Jack McQueen of Newman, Illinois on June 24, 1962.
The Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Friday, September 20, 2019 at Calvary Assembly of Decatur, Alabama with Pastors George Sawyer, Tony Willis and Joshua Wilbanks officiating. Visitation with the family begins at noon with service following at 1:00pm.
She is preceded in death by her father, her sister Patty Hathaway, and daughter-in-law Lisa McQueen.
Wanda and Jack have lived the 15years of their 57 years of marriage in Hartselle, Alabama. Wanda loved Jesus, her family and working in her flower beds.
She is survived by her mother and her husband. She is also survived by her sons, Steve McQueen of Covington, Indiana; Brian McQueen (Beth) of Hartselle, Alabama, her daughter Vickie Lester (Jesse) of Sweetwater, Tennessee. She has six grandchildren, Kristen Osika (Dan), Levi Lester (Michelle), Ben McQueen, Dalton Lester (Sydnee), Taylor McQueen and Erin McQueen. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Jake and Kamden.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to the family for funeral expenses.
