Kristie Lisa Triantafelo, age 57, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on April 26, 2024. She was born on November 2, 1966, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Kristie was a family-oriented person who cherished spending time with her loved ones. Her favorite times of the year were always Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Most people would never entertain being the host of a family get-together with an extended family of 20+ people. Kristie never batted an eye. She got up at 2 am to prep for everyone’s holiday brunch. On the 4th of July, we always gathered at the old school next to Mama’s house and did fireworks, the whole family grilling and spending time together. Kristie enjoyed watching her children with their children laughing and playing in the yard, which always brought a smile to her face.

Kristie was passionate about art and spent hours coloring at the table, ensuring each page was perfect. She had a collection of stuffed animals for children to choose from, always ensuring they left smiling. Kristie also had a deep love for animals and nature, often spending time watching birds, chipmunks, and squirrels. One of her cherished family traditions was attending Midnight Mass every year and having a family breakfast at 2 am.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Emery, her sisters, Kerry Lynch and Kathrine Chavers, and her brother, John Triantafelo. Kristie leaves behind a legacy of children and grandchildren: Kimberly Emery-Burnham and husband Christopher Burnham with their children Amaris and Jesse; Marie Frank and children Rosie and William; Jane Ige and husband Jacob and their children Cyrus and Olivia; Joshua Hermanson and former wife Chelsea Hermanson and their children Jasmine, Gabriel, Calleigh, Steven, Christopher, Jason, and Corey; Carl Chambers and his partner Kandi and their sons Alec and Ryder; Ashley Hansen and her husband Robert Hansen and their children Hadryn, Wesley, Jaida, Jacob, Morgan, Karmelita, Sophia, and Austin; and David Chambers and his daughter Kaitlyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Louise Triantafelo, her sister Kimberly Triantafelo, and her granddaughter Brooklyn Hofmeister.

A memorial service to celebrate Kristie’s life will be held at The Rustic Red Venue at 9930 Pulaski Pike in Toney, Alabama, on Mother’s Day, May 12th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. We will celebrate Kristie’s life, share short stories over a small brunch, and have a few drinks for the adults. Kristie Lisa “Pizza” Triantafelo will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
