Delilah Holcomb Crum – Obituary

Delilah Holcomb Crum, 78, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home. She was born May 16, 1939 in Itawamba County, MS and had worked as a restaurant cook. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Golden, MS where she loved to sing in the choir. She also loved quilting, gardening and cooking. She was well known for making her delicious fried pies.

Services will be Wednesday, February 14, 3:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Dean Warren and Casey Crum officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by four children – Doug Crum (Sherrie), Sharon Sparks (Tony) and Donald Crum (April) all of Dennis, MS and Larena Harrell (Laurence) Cherokee, AL; eight grandchildren – Casey Crum (Katie), Heather Deaton (Austin), Cody Crum (Chelsey), Baylee Harrell (Fiance’ Chapman Porter), Hayden Sparks, Courtney Sparks (Austin), Parker Harrell and Brody Crum; five great-grandchildren – Clidey Crum, Charley Crum, Cutter Deaton, Lila Crum and Lottie Crum; one brother – David Holcomb (Delora) and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Allie Underwood Holcomb and two brothers, Charles Holcomb and Thomas Holcomb.

Pallbearers will be Casey Crum, Cody Crum, Hayden Sparks, Brody Crum, Parker Harrell, William Holcomb, Austin Deaton and Austin Sparks.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 6-9 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Golden, MS.
