Catherine Schmieder, 87 of Athens, Alabama, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023.
She was born August 25th, 1935 in DeFuniak Springs, FL to Glenn and Cressie Beach. Cathy is survived by her Son, Steve (Martha) Schmieder, Daughters, Karen (Keith) Ellis and Mary (Matt) O’Halloran. Grandchildren, Jill Varnagatas, Haley Ellis, Will Schmieder, Carlton Schmieder Liam O’Halloran and Erin O’Halloran. Brother, Arthur Beach of Winter Garden, FL. Brother-in-law, Wayne (Marlene) Schmieder of Cuba City, Wisconsin. Several Nieces and Nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, William (Bill) Schmieder. Sister, Gerry Shoaf.
Services will be 2pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Joe Teal officiating.
Visitation will be from 12noon until 2:00pm Friday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Keith Ellis, Andrew Butler, Will Schmieder, Carlton Schmieder, Matt O’Halloran & Liam O’Halloran.
