Mr. Ganster was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both in Savannah, Tennessee and Culinary Union #226 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In his lifetime, he worked at Dollar General in Adamsville, Tennessee and at Binion’s Horseshoe for 27 years. Mr. Ganster is remembered as a handyman. Woodworking, going to auctions, collecting belt buckles, and gardening were some of his favorite things to do.
Mr. Ganster is survived by his children, Sherry Sassaman and Bernard Ganster, Jr., both of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; sisters, Jaqulyn Strausser of Mohrsville, Pennsylvania and Carol A. Dammeir of Twin Falls, Idaho; brother, Neil L. Ganster of Wernersville, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ganster was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline Ermold Ganster; his second wife, Louise Landreth Ganster; and grandchild, Tracy Anderson.
