MUSCLE SHOALS-Country Music Artist, Johnny Collier, from the Muscle Shoals area of Northern Alabama is proud to announce his first major music award win. Johnny was nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the Country Music Category in September, 2020, for his single, “Never Really Famous (Till You Make The Bathroom Wall)”, the lead track from his 2^nd album, “Love Me For Who I Am”, released at the closing of 2019. Album promotions began in early 2020 with the release of “Never Really Famous”, the lead track, to terrestrial, internet and secondary radio internationally. Despite Covid-19 restrictions and the music industry all but shutting down, Johnny’s album earned great success! With his album racking up over 145,000 streams on Spotify alone, Johnny celebrated two number one songs on Indie Country Charts with “Never Really Famous” capturing the #1 position on the 2020 Top 100 Countdown on the Fan Voted Country Charts.

The 11^th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards show, held virtually from Hollywood, California, on January 27^th, 2021, revealed Johnny Collier as the winner from a field of 9 nominees in the Country Music Category. Johnny joins a distinguished list of past HMMA winners including Justin Timberlake, Rita Wilson, Pia Toscano, Howard Shore, Eric Roberts, Pink, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, and Elton John, just to name a few.

Johnny Collier is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and producer. Johnny tours the country performing with his band, The Misbehaviators, averaging 180 performances a year. Johnny survived a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (ruptured brain aneurysm) and stroke in April, 2018, leading to 3 brain surgeries, 3 weeks in the neurosurgical ICU at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama, and several months of intensive recovery and rehabilitation. With the grace of God, his wife, and prayers from thousands and thousand of fans, Johnny resumed touring 6 months later. Johnny finished his second album in 2019 releasing it just before the end of the year and finishing the year with over 200 concerts performed. Johnny and his wife, Dallas, are focused on releasing two more singles in 2021 and getting back touring.
