ARDMORE, TN – The Greater Ardmore Chamber joined community leaders from Alabama and Tennessee, along with Tractor Supply Company employees, to celebrate the grand opening of Tractor Supply’s new location at 25991 Main Street in Ardmore with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Ardmore Store Manager Miranda Malone Locke reflected on the milestone.
“We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome Ardmore has given us,” Locke said. “This grand opening represents months of hard work from an outstanding team, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially become part of this community. Thank you to our team members, customers, community partners, and the Chamber of Commerce for helping make this milestone possible. We look forward to serving Ardmore and the surrounding area for many years to come.”
Tractor Supply Company traces its roots to 1938, when Charles E. Schmidt Sr. of Chicago founded a mail-order tractor parts business from his kitchen table. By 1940, the venture had grown into a retail store in Minot, North Dakota. Today, the company operates more than 2,200 stores across 49 states, making it the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States and a leading supplier of maintenance products for home, land, pet and animal owners.
Greater Ardmore Chamber Director Yolandia Eubanks said she expects Tractor Supply to be a strong community partner. Several of the store’s new employees are FFA students at Ardmore High School, and Eubanks noted the real-world experience will serve them well as they look toward their futures.
“This type of investment in our community can help improve the lives of our community members and their families,” Eubanks said.
