Funeral services for Garland Nichols, Jr., 80, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Hollis Gardner officiating with interment in Laodicea Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 12-2.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Nichols passed away July 13, 2017 at Cullman Regional. He was born July 10, 1937 to Ethel Gertrude Grubbs Nichols and Garland Morgan Nichols, Sr. He was loved and well known in the community because of his many business endeavors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Martha Nichols; son, Johnny G. Nichols; daughter, Ginger Renee Nichols; sister, Jonnie Mae (Lonnie) Chitwood of Georgia; sister-in-law, Lorene Nichols; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:30-9 at the funeral home.
