Dorothy Louise Green Pointevint
(December 8, 1923 – July 10, 2017)
Dorothy married December 25, 1941 to a Navy pilot James William Poitevint and traveled all over the country while raising a family that included four children. Daughter: Virginia Jacqueline “Ginger” married to Andrew John Lundstrom, Jr. “Jay” having son Andrew John Lundstrom III “Drew” and daughter Kristen Anne Lundstrom “Kristen” married to Gary Bennett Blossman with great Granddaughter Elizabeth Anne Pope “Ellie”. Daughter: Patricia Anne “Pat” having grandson James William Woolen “Will”. Son: James William “Jim” married Penelope having Granddaughter Heather J. Daffin married to Tyson D. Daffin having Great Grandchildren DeWitt Gardner “Witt” and Laura Tyson “LT”. Son: Robert Woolridge “Ridge” married to Donna Helen Smith. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, making desserts and traveling. After her husband died she worked at the Redstone Arsenal in the Army Missile Support Command for 25 years. Upon retiring she moved to Florida enjoying her last year’s volunteering at Sacred Heart Hospital, knitting sweaters for underprivileged children overseas, and volunteering at the First Methodist Church in Destin, FL. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation is at Berryhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
