FLORENCE-Today, Wednesday, March 22 the Board of Trustees for the University of North Alabama approved an agreement with the Florence City Board of Education regarding plans for the new Florence Middle School and related changes at Braly Municipal Stadium.  The agreement addresses several of UNA’s key concerns regarding parking, pedestrian access, and other issues at the stadium.  This action by the UNA Board follows approval of the same agreement by the Florence City Board of Education on March 21.  President Ken Kitts and Superintendent Connie Wallace have pledged to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the agreement.  UNA values Florence City Schools as an educational partner and looks forward to building on the tradition of collaboration that is the source of mutual pride between the two organizations.
