Suspect Arrested For Theft Of Gift Cards

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement on the arrest of an employee at a local retail store on Thursday, March 16.  She has been charged with theft:

“Marina E. Tutich, 26, of Florence was arrested on Thursday, March 16.

She was an employee of a local retailer and was arrested yesterday after an internal investigation revealed that she was stealing gift cards and then redeeming them for merchandise.

The retailer became suspicious after reviewing transaction logs within the store. In total, Tutich is accused of stealing nearly $5,000 in gift cards from the retailer.

She was taken into custody yesterday after speaking with detectives and posted bail in the amount of $5,000.”
