Jack Frederick Kellerman – Obituary

Jack Frederick Kellerman, a native of Decatur, and formerly of Fayette, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Fairhope on March 11, 2017, at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emma Kellerman; and his sister, Nancy Kellerman.

Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara Godfrey Kellerman; son and daughter-in- law, Mark and Katie Kellerman of Fairhope; daughter, Laura Gann (Chris Gaydos) of Daphne; grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Andrea Gilmer, Ethan Kellerman, all of Fairhope; and one great-grandchild, Karsyn Brown of Fairhope.

Jack was born on Dec. 6, 1935 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He graduated from North Miami Beach High School. He proudly served his country with the United States Navy. After his time in the Navy, Jack began a 50-year career in the corrugated box industry and was one of the founding partners of Target Container.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home in Fayette. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jack’s life.
